Determined to forge a new legal-historical narrative in South Australia, native title groups are asking Premier Mike Rann to begin negotiations on “unfinished business” arising from the state’s 1836 Letters Patent. A meeting of the 27 native title groups at Clare over the weekend unanimously authorised the leaders of the Ngarrindjeri nation to ask Mr. Rann to talk through the issues with them and find a resolution.
